Oh great. Just in time for exams. Fuck you all!
Actually, this could work cuz I usually put on 8 lbs. in the winter and this will just speed things along.

What Sapph said, and add "I wanted a new computer before the expansion! I can't have one by then!"

For those looking for a new rig, I saw this on Newegg tonight and thought "how dead would I be if I ordered one of these?" http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103154 Yeah, it's an Acer but wow -- lotta box for the buck (that's what he said).

I think this will be my next gaming system:

It's about time for a gaming laptop, I think. Hopefully I'll get my bonus before Wrath and order one of these puppies.

That's what I have Beam. It's really good. It is HEAVY AS FUCK though, so be prepared for that.

Yeah, it was actually you pointing out the previous generation of it that got me thinking of buying a ... Gateway *shiver*. When this new generation came out, it looks -really- nice.
I kinda expected a 17" laptop to be heavy. I -may- wuss out and get a 15" instead, we'll see.

I wouldn't bump it down to 15. With all the gear along with it, it is about 14lbs so just get a good bag and you'll be fine. I've got something similar to this.

That Acer is nice. I'm being lazy I might just buy that and not build my own machine.

Its just a bunch of parts. How are you going to play video games on that?

By putting them together. Inside a computer case. Then pressing the on-switch. It works, I swear.

That motherboard looks like overkill, but otherwise, a pretty nice rig. I'd consider getting dropping the motherboard down a little and put the extra dough into RAM.

I'd say the same thing but I'm more of trying to build something that'll last me a couple of years. Plus it's one of the few boards that can handle DDR3 and SLi so it's definitely an upgradeable rig in the future.
