So, I want to make sure I'm correct on this -- Badges will not gain any new uses in the expansion, right? In other words, I might as well blow them now, even if the resulting upgrade is relatively minor.

No they will be pretty much worthless in the expansion.

Use them now for upgrades, Epic gems, or sell the epic gems for cash.

They'll be purchasable with the WotLK equivalent badges. Occasionally things change but I have read many times that they have no intention of making anything new available through badge of justice.

Wouldn't the best investment be gems, as those could be applied to new gear post wotlk? I imagine there will be more uber gems, but worth a thought.

The best investment if you really have no need of upgrades would be to buy gems and sell them fast. The prices have already dropped significantly and are a little over 200g per now.


Once Wrath is released the uncommon gems that will quickly start flooding the market are better than the currently available epic gems.

So this would be a good time to start selling all Primals since they will be worth close to norhing once Wrath comes out?

Just like when BC came out, everything that is hot now will almost instantly become shit overnight once WoTLK comes out. So, make the money while you still can.

Start a panic by stating that gems are a finite resource and that when they are gone, none will replace them...just like all of the inbred fools who live in this cesspool of proto-humanity where I am forced to dwell.

Visit Tallahassee...you'll understand. I heard we made national news based on our "the sky is falling" mentality regarding gasoline last week.

If my liver could survive it...I'd stay half-bent all the time; but someone here would probably start a panic about agave tequilana plants and then I would be screwed.

So, not only are BoJs going to be useless, they're resetting our PvP honor -and- wiping out all our tokens. Not a huge surprise, I suppose, but damn, 30k honor and 250+ tokens will be gone in the blink of an eye.

Guess I'll be spending honor on the PvP gems to turn around and AH. Makes sense to do a whole lot of token turn-ins for the quest, too.

Awesome news. Thankfully I haven't burned any of my honor or marks yet. I was planning on buying and re-selling a bunch of the gems when the big patch hits. Guess I'll just sit on my stockpile. :)

I wonder if they'll increase the honor cap. If they make the items more expensive, 75k honor won't buy you much.
