Just thought I'd let you all know that Agnes is out of commission for a few days. She was running 103 temps Saturday with UTI symptoms. She had a doc's appt scheduled for Monday so she didn't want to go to the ER and drop the extra $$$$. With a regiment of Tylenol, Motrin and lots of cranberry juice we got her fever to break and got her somewhat comfortable last night. I worked from home and checked her throughout the night and up until when I went to sleep at 9am, she felt cool to the touch.

Well, when I woke up this afternoon, she looked awful so I immediately took her temp. 105.3 ... I threw some ice in a bag, wrapped it in a washcloth, stuck it on her head and off to the ER we went. She's doing fine now. She's there overnight and they're pumping her full of electrolytes, Demerol and antibiotics. Hopefully she'll be feeling a lot better and back home tomorrow.

Wow, 105? Super scary. I think the highest my temp has ever been was 104-something, and I was sure I was going to die but too tired to wake anybody and say, "Hey, my temp is 104.5, can you take me to the hospital?"

Hope she gets better soon.

Last time I had a fever like that I had it for over 3 weeks and they were not sure if it was Mono or Hepititis , they ended up figuring it was Mono about a month or 2 later, the initial tests could not find anything.

Yeah that really sucks. I was chatting with her from my bowling-alley hideout the other day and she said she was really sick. She also was semi-goofy and I couldn't tell if it was just her or what, but I guess she probably hallucinating.

When you're better...kick The Don square in the jimmy and then give him a few kidney punches for good order; while he is down, squirt lighter fluid on him and ignite. Don should now understand the pain you were experiencing and be suitably empathetic.
