Along with my new job comes the responsibility for a laboratory full of equipment. I've started a complete inventory this week and although I knew the computers in there were old, I wasn't quite prepared...for a Pentium classic, 32MB RAM, 15 in 60hz monitor, Windows 95 (4.00.950), with no windows updates EVER!
As far as I can tell, until I shut them down today, they haven't been turned off for any period of time since they were installed in 1995. I hope they come back on.
Can you run Win 2k on 32MB RAM? Do they even make upgrade RAM for a box that old?

You might be able to find some on ebay.... but they will likely be more expensive than you will expect. your best bet is to buy some el cheapo box for $400 or so.

I figured out the full specs: 166mhz Pentium, Trident AGi 800x600-256C graphics, 400MB hard drive, and a monitor with the words "It is now safe to turn off your computer" burnt in. I don't think we even have the software discs in case the computers break down.
It's definitely time for an upgrade, but I doubt my department would spend the 400 bucks.

From the MS site
133 MHz or more Pentium microprocessor (or equivalent). Windows 2000 Professional supports up to two processors on a single computer.
• 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM recommended minimum. 32 MB of RAM is the minimum supported. 4 gigabytes (GB) of RAM is the maximum.
• A 2 GB hard disk that has 650 MB of free space. If you are installing over a network, more free hard disk space is required.
• VGA or higher-resolution monitor.
• Keyboard.
• Mouse or compatible pointing device (optional).
For CD-ROM installation:
• CD drive or DVD drive
The first thing you would need is a bigger HD :)
What would you need the computer to do?

Also you may run into problems getting your old ISA slots working in 2000 =P
