We are having a very weird problem.

We have a branch in NJ and if their toll free number is in their signature and try to send to Comcast it gets blocked. We email from our work, gmail, and yahoo to comcast the email is blocked. The toll free formats that get blocked are xxx-xxx-xxxx, (xxx) xxx-xxxx, and xxx.xxx.xxxx. If we just put it as xxxxxxxxxx without any spaces or formats the emails goes right through. This just started happening in the past 2 weeks and it is only one of our toll frees. If we use the toll free for any other branch or here it goes through fine. We never receive a kickback message and nothing ever arrives in comcast's mailbox.

If we go into comcast and disable all spam filtering then resend the email it will show up. I have never seen spam able to block a certain toll free number.

The user also has said that optimum online is the same way but we can't test that.

Has anyone seen this?

In my job, x = y only where the function is continuous. Hope that helped.

Sounds like some overly aggressive spam filters. It's not uncommon for a phone number to be mentioned in spam, and then that becomes the key for detecting that spam. Have you contacted Comcast? If it's their filter, they should be able to rectify the problem.

Damn, I had a really good reply all prepared, then I remembered this wasn't the pit...
