Just popping in to let everyone know that Slowman went in for surgery today and that everything is looking good. He's in good spirits and wants to let everyone know he's doing well. I'll update here as things progress.

He's out of surgery and in the recovery room. They said we can go visit him in about 45 min. So, I'm assuming the surgery was successful.

We got to see him in the recovery room. He was in a lot of pain, and not really conscious. And whenever he came to we basically just told him to use the morphine button and he would pass back out. But all of the staff say he's doing very well considering the procedure. He was moved up to his own room tonight around 8ish. So tomorrow it'll be easier for me to visit him. Nice thing about him going to the hospital I work at. I can just take a break and walk over :)

I just want to thank everyone for all the thoughts and hugs. He'll get smothered with them once he's conscious again :)
I'll bring him a laptop as soon as he's well enough to start using it so he can say hello to everyone himself!

My hospital pie ROCKS. So does the cake. And the cobbler. And the creme puffs that look like swans. And the cannoli. We has a pastry chef!

do they even allow any desert that isn't jello into a hospital?

When my wife had surgery many years ago, they gave her lime jello. It tasted like floor wax.

He was moved to the SICU last night. He's doing very well, and I was told next time I see him he'll probably be moved. He's doing very well and doesn't need to be in an ICU anymore.

I sent him everyones well-wishes and that put a big smile on his face. Thanks guys!

ETA: BTW, he's well and truly in Bat Country, so the Morphine Pie is working well :)
