I would love to do that again (maybe sometime when any necessary prep work can be scheduled in advance so the actual raid can end a little earlier ... I really could not stay awake long enough to see us down Nef).

Yes it did go a little longer than planned. And my little (massive) screwup with the first Ony attempt didn't help us much....

But as far as not knowing where we were going until the day of, and then going somewhere very few of us had been before.... and actually getting all the way through... I don't think it went too badly. Sorry some people couldn't get all the way but now that many of us have the cloaks we can most likely run it again fairly smoothly.

For those that were unable to join us, here's a recap of the night:

Step 1 - Got 25 people organized and out to Ony's lair to get the pattern to make the cloaks needed for BWL.
Step 2 - Disbanded the raid and created a new one with everyone's alts because *some* people forgot that they had already killed Ony this week and we all got stuck with raid IDs of an empty lair. :p
Step 3 - Killed Ony remarkably fast... a VS record, I think!
Step 4 - Got everyone out to UBRS to get the quest for BWL attunement.
Step 5 - Split into 3 raid groups and zipped through UBRS (Lushy's group won!) Everyone who needed attunement got attuned and we all earned our Jenkins titles. :D
Step 6 - Reformed into one raid group and entered BWL. We fumbled through the first couple of bosses, trying to read Jaannaa's instructions in raid chat (which proved difficult for some of us who had been drinking all night). Then one of Jaannaa's real life friends joined and explained the rest of the place on vent. He was awesome. Then we had to take a wee break to make 25 Onyxia Scale Cloak (we had brought almost all of the mats ;)) And we pwnd the place.

Thanks so much everyone for coming out and being patient as we got through the night. It's never easy organizing 25 people... especially when some of us had been drinking!

My brain died right after the first boss, so I was only there as a husk.

I wasn't trying to imply that it went badly at all ... I was really exited just to get past the first boss, especially after the guild's first foray into BWL way back when. And then I was really sad that I couldn't stay awake long enough to see the rest of it.

Same here. I just couldn't stay awake any longer. Congratz on those that did! It was a real blast! I'd love to try it again.
