awesome!

=======================================================
Dear Slicehosters,

We're writing today to discuss the big news released last week. For those who missed it, we've been acquired by Rackspace Hosting. An acquisition wasn't something we expected, but after talking with the Rackspace team it became apparent this would be a great fit. Our technology benefits their customers and product offerings, their resources and expertise enable us to grow Slicehost and continue meeting our customers' needs. Most importantly we saw in Rackspace the same passion for customer service and technology that has driven Slicehost from the beginning. Our customers mean everything to Jason and me and we believe this is the right move.

This email is short and sweet because nothing is going to change - we'll keep doing our thing. Rackspace is amazed at what we've accomplished and wants that momentum to continue. We have a vision for Slicehost and want to build products that solve your problems. We'll remain a service focused on developers, strive to make our customers happy and continue providing the honest, real support that brought you to us in the first place.

Last week was an exhilarating moment for Jason and me, but we're even more pumped about our future with Rackspace. We thank all of you for your support over the past 2-years and are grateful for your business. As always, we welcome your questions and comments.

Sincerely,
Matt and Jason

Rackspace? Yeah, I hear their network security team is full of hoodlums.

We obviously bought them because of my genuine love for Slicehost. Seriously, I was VERY happy when I heard this news.

Heads up.

Now that Slicehost and Rackspace are nestled snuggly in bed together, we've finally been hooked up with employee discounts. Unfortunately though, this means I have to move us again BUT we'll be moved to a bigger and better environment. Expect the move probably on Tuesday night or Wednesday evening.

Rackspace is slowly invading every part of my life. Is nothing sacred anymore?

You will now give birth at Rackspace, not a hospital.

LOL! Actually if it goes as fast as I anticipate it going, and when I anticipate it happening, Killian and Andist could be delivering him in the parking lot there at Rackspace....:doh:

Don't need scissors. Just use a crimper.
