I never said it was a good movie.

I said it had lots of high school goth chicks in the audience.

Let me sum up Twilight (trying not to give away anything that's not in the trailers):

1. Girl whines about moving to a gloomy small town
2. Girl sees really pale hot guy who couldn't possibly be 17 and in High School
3. Awkward moments
4. Girl and Boy fall in love but are stuck in a PG movie. AWKWARD...
5. Drama

In the end, it was funny/cute/emo, but not oscar worthy. It's a teenage thing.

What I most liked was that there were about 20 different moments where I was about to gag or roll my eyes, but just at the breaking point, it managed to make fun or itself or somehow break the moment.

And the hawt chicks.

twilight is a cancerous sore on the face of pop culture. don't even get me started.

also there's no sex not b/c it's PG, but because the author of the series is a mormon housewife who does not believe in vampirism / sex before marriage.

Do not take advice from Bren unless it involves booze.

Speaking of which, I found the right combo for the pear vodka. Sprite!

Women should drink booze, then have sex with me.

Best advice ever.

I'm counting on him filming it this time, last time he was supposed to but there was no film in the recorder and I HAVE BEEN PROMISED HE SWITCHED TO DIGITAL.

Your post reminded me to look and see if Cleolinda had taken a look at Twilight. She has. Check out Twilight in 15 minutes: http://community.livejournal.com/m15m/19551.html#cutid1

she wrote detailed synopses of the books, too; her breaking dawn summaries are hilarious

I have no plans to see Angst. err... Twilight.

It's like Anne Rice but with women who are way to skinny and aren't wearing corsets, that just isn't cool.

My wife and 17 year old saw it after reading the books. The movie falls short.
