So Blizzard clearly has some interesting new changes in store for us in this latest patch. They're letting us re-customize our characters (for the low, low price of $15), which is actually a surprising development for Blizzard. They're not only allowing us to change our hair and our facial characteristics, but also our faces themselves--and even our gender. Not only plastic surgery, but gender re-assignment surgery! Ever wished your hunter had boobs? $15 and they're yours!

That would be pretty awesome!
I have been considering turning my char into a guy, but I dunno, she has been with me since November 2004 =(
Hmmm...

I first read the title of the thread and got "Blow job for $15".

Actually, I think that is what Blizzard is doing to us--making us pay $$$ just so we can go blow ourselves (something else for the females of the guild).

Think, for only $15.00 you can go change anything you want about your toon (except Race and Class). Wow, thank you Blizzard. Again, something for nothing.

Now, getting a shave/haircut for in-game $$ so you can alter your hair style and color makes sense. Both are virtual and really only cost you time. Why would you pay essentially what it costs to play the game for 30days just to make a few more adjustments to a toon?

Now, if you got booted from a Guild and want to start again--go change your name and sex and try again. Only Blizzard will know.

Sorry, I guess I don't see how this is a good thing.

I can see superficial benefits if someone is really 'involved' with their character. For instance, maybe it will make RP'ers happy to talk about going to the salon? (sorry I had to poke fun!)

But I do see more of a downside than a good side. It would be great if on armory they would say <previously "this toon"> but that might defeat the purpose. I can just think of a few jackasses in game that would pay the money to do this JUST so they can mess around with people.

I think this is a great step forward for the Online Avatar Transgendered and Sexual Identity Rights movement. I know plenty of pre- and post-op transsexuals who have been frustrated by Blizzards consistent lack of inclusiveness. Now, for just a slight fee, their fabulous journey through the sexual continuum can be mirrored in Azeroth. I applaud the World of Warcraft for taking this progressive step.

"Fabulous journey through the sexual continuum"...

...known by some as "the Terrible toboggan ride into the geneta(i)l-spin".

Bren's by far is the superior turn of phrase though! My hat is off to you!
