One thing to point out right off the bat is the openness of VS and its willingness to work together. In pretty much any other guild this post would have been locked or deleted.

I will only speak from what I have personally experienced. Which may or may not be similar to what other people have.

I have always respected the advice of directors, Khros, Fox, Fren and many other class leaders in the guild for that matter. Not because they have read an article or two but because they have read a ton of articles, and have put what they read into practice to battle test it, which for me is the most important part. This game has a ton of math to it, and if there are people out there that want to read all the articles and spend time and gold in game testing stuff out and checking the results I am all for listening to what you have lived through and trying it out myself, whoever you are.

If you have issues with someone talk to that person directly in private or a director in the guild. The few times I have done this in the past I have always been happy with the results. Remember that typing is a horrible way to communicate, it is very easy to mis-interpret. Also for some reason people type/write things that they would never personally say to someone. Think twice before you write something.

People play at different paces, please respect that. There are groups of people who want to raid and run heroics over and over again, and there are others that don't want to run anything and just poke about, believe it or not both are having fun. Fast people don't try to speed up the slow ones, and slow ones don't get your nose out of joint when the power players are running all sorts of new stuff and you can't just jump right into it when you hit L80.

What I see right now are a lot of impromptu on the spot runs which may cause people to be left out. If you feel this is the case talk to a director and I am sure they can get some stuff posted, they always have in the past.

Friends are going to play together, if you need a group for something ask in guild or directly to people that are in the same zone. Jack and I play together all the time, we play at our own pace and we don't announce in guild every time we are going to do something. If you are in the same zone as us , give us a shout maybe we are doing the same thing but please don't feel that we are leaving you out or ignoring you.

Hugs to Everyone.

Wait a second!!

That's not what was here before!!!

For those that missed it, we're moving a little bit of drama to the Producer's forum so that we can deal with it before it becomes something we can't fix.

We want to fix it and address all the concerns that were raised. We want to address how the concerns were raised. We want to raise concerns about wanting to address the raising of concerned wants.

In the immortal words of Walter Sobchak: "Nothing is fucked here, Dude. Come on, you're being very un-Dude."

Sorry, DD. You are right, we do like to be open about things. But we have also learned from the past that letting a "highly emotional" thread continue is not in everyone's best interest. Constructive comments are always welcome though.

I've said it before (both drunk and sober), and I'll say it again (sober atm, sadly) -- VS is by far the greatest guild I've encountered in my years playing WoW, and one of the greatest groups of people I've been able to hang out with ingame or IRL. With this many people, and our different personalities and goals in-game, there will inevitably be some rough patches, especially when an expansion comes out. But one of our many strengths is that we can talk it through, and that we have amazing officers that can resolve problems as they arise.

So please, if you have concerns or complaints, raise them with the officers, and rest assured that they will do everything they can to work it out.

I'll get off my soapbox now. Besides, it's a bit creepy standing on a wooden box when you're a tree...

Needless to say my post was a response to another post, and not the original.

DD never causes Drama :D

Sometimes when I get put on deck for a run I am a little disappointed and wonder why. Its probably because of all the danged ol' hunters out there.:)

But I remember way back to that Kara place......

By the time Amonsul got his key to get in (yes, back then everyone had to run all over creation to get their own to be able to get in) there were plenty of folks that had cleared the place, figured out the fights and gotten most of the drops they wanted. I believe it was my second time in when I got to loot about FIVE big ol' purplies. I almost felt bad but by that time no one else needed them. Good times!

Getting left out of the first runs where there is a lot of dying and repair bills? I'm willing to go but I'm ok missing that!

VS Rocks!

Here is what you guys should know if you weren't with us when the last expansion hit: Our guild tends to "change" a little after expansions because we have all these people who feel like they NEED things. Need rep, need gear, need badges, and now, need achievements. So it may look like all of a sudden VS is not VS, but it is. We just aren't as relaxed and putting around, wondering what new person we can help out as we usually are when we're in a more comfortable zone. We'll get there again. But at this point, people are going to appear very self-focused.

Doesn't mean we aren't a casual guild or aren't a social guild or anything like that. It's just Expansion-itis.

For right now, we're trying to keep activities posted for the week and have a great new guild event in the works. And if anyone needs to talk to me about anything, you can grab me in-game if PMs aren't your bag.

Do they make a pill or something for Expansion-itis?

I've found that when a large, family oriented group is involved it's always better to keep the expansion in your pants.

They do but you would not like it. It causes Ret Pallies to join groups instead of trying to solo everything all the time.

And where's the fun in that!:D

And I read that as Expansion-tits.
