Judging by /g yesterday, it seems that not everyone has come across the wonder that is the Everfrost Chip. Much like the Netherwing Eggs, they give you instant rep with Hodir. And you can turn in as many as you want per day. 350 rep per turn-in. That's one fewer time you have to follow that wolf's ass!

Be warned, they are not easy to spot. Unlike the Netherwing Eggs, they don't just sit out in the open & exude obvious smoke. The chips are usually hidden in batches of trees, and can be tricky to see. But once you find two or three, you'll know what to look for.

Thanks, Gleja. I still hope that the rumors are true about one day being able to turn in Relic of Ulduar for rep. With my luck, that will happen the day after I reach Exalted with the bastards. Then I will dump my hundreds of relics on their doorstep and hope they CHOKE ON THEM!

I found 2 Everfrost Chips so far but they were right out in the open. I kinda assumed that they were super rare and easy to spot when they were around. I'll make sure I check the trees on my way through the daily quests from now on, thanks!

I ended up finding 5 today, after making 3 or 4 circles of the area. It's not a way to jump to exalted immediately, but it is a nice boost.

Gleja, you are lucky. I've spent hours looking and found zero. The only time I've ever had any luck is right after a server restart when they all respawned and I managed to grab two. Andist -- I think it was Andist -- even came out to help me look when I said in /guild that I doubted their existence, and we both came up empty.

The server is so much quieter this morning than it has been the past 2 weeks. So that might help.

Yah, I got my mustard quick. Then I realized I had to farm rhino meat. :( THEN I got an extra Cooking Award in my bag like Lyr did! I'm glad the flight from Dalaran to Sholazar is 5 minutes, otherwise I wouldn't have had time to dry my hair this morning.

Doing the rhino dog cookin' daily twice now, the secret seems to be that everyone forgets the mustard plants in the Beer Garden behind the Hero's Welcome Inn. Or have I just been lucky both times?

I found ALL my mustard out in the landing field. I think I was just lucky. Seriously. :D

Edit: So far, the cooking quest that I have the hardest time with is the cheese and wine one. There seems to be only one place to get the cheese and there's always people there waiting for it to spawn. What a pain in the ass!

I just looked over that last sentence and realized how weird it sounds. LOL! :D

The beer garden is where I always think there should be half-empty wine glasses. But no! I never find any there. I don't even find any wine glasses that are not sparkly, so I don't think they spawn there (although I haven't looked it up to check).

People should NOT DRINK WINE IN BEER GARDENS! GAH!

Indeed this is true! Thanks again Gleja. Melestria is happy to stop blowing, thrusting and in other ways submitting to the whims of Sons of Hodir (they all look inbred too...it was pretty scary stuff).

Heading back towards the original subject, the whole "Relics for Rep" myth may be true after all.

Basically, this thread was someone saying:

a) Relics won't be souldbound
b) Everyone will want relics
c) So save your relics & sell them for profit!

A blizzard rep resoponded that the relics will remain soulbound. But he didn't dispute that the relics will be used for a rep turn-in!

Ok, I'm finally seeing the "Hodir's Tribute" quest mentioned on reputable sites. So with patch 3.0.8, you will be able to turn in 10 Relics of Ulduar for 250 Hodir rep (more if you're a lazy SOB Human).

I have enough trinkets for 4000 rep, and I need 3000 rep for exalted. Hooray!

Anyone have relics lying around that they don't want? Apparently I am the world's slowest rep-grinder. I bought a bunch off the AH but I'm trying to get both toons to exalted so thought I'd try here too! Feel free to send COD at a reasonable price. Sapphyre or Lushy. Thanks.
