Some of you have been asking about this position lately and we've given it some thought. We had our "officer" doors closed for the last little while but we've decided to open them up again.
What we expect of Caterers:
People who want to help others, post runs, run guild events, welcome new members, and make suggestions about how to make VS even more awesome than it is. Note that Caterers are not expected to deal with raiding issues or guild drama. We like to keep the Officer forum a happy place.
The application process:
We will be accepting new applications this month. Anyone who has been in the guild for 6 months or longer can apply. Please submit a PM to Lux, Sapph and Fox stating why you want to be a Caterer and why you should be chosen. We'll be reviewing the applications, will get some opinions from random guildies and will then choose a few new Caterers to add to our ranks. Let us know if you have any questions.
Please note:
You do not need to be a Caterer to post runs, help guildies, and plan guild events. Anyone in the guild can do this. We just like to have some people with this "official" title so people know who they can go to if they are too shy to post their own runs or whatever.

After much deliberation and discussions, we have FINALLY chosen a new group of Caterers! We want to thank everyone who applied - everyone had great apps and we had a really hard time picking from everyone.
Because of the overwhelming interest in this role, we have decided to make the position a 1-year term, after which we will open the doors again and anyone can apply or re-apply, including existing Caterers if they want to stay on for another term. Look forward to that in March 2010!
If you are online tonight, you will see promotions... probably mixed in with some gkicks and gquits as our Friday nights tend to go. Please help us welcome the team! (If I remember, I'll update this post later tonight with the names for anyone who misses the online promotions - assuming I'm sober enough.)

And by the way, our new Caterers don't know who they are yet so it'll be a fun night of surprises for everyone. Well, more surprises than a usual Friday night. ;)
