I'm torn between laughing at the naked wizard and being kinda disgusted by the over-violent bullying.

I'm not in law-enforcement, but I thought that tasers were non-lethal option for use when you'd otherwise be drawing your gun, not a tool of coercion for when you can't enforce your will on someone else.

We have a couple of non-lethal tools we use over here, and the idea is that it adds an extra step as you approach the necessity to use lethal force. I don't that deadly force was anywhere near being called for in this case.

I am torn between agreeing with Bren and enjoying Taser videos too much.

In response to Bren I think that different cities have different guidelines. I think a lot of places use it as a way to ensure the officer's safety as opposed to wrestling or a baton. Besides who wants to wrestle with a naked wizard. At least when they are wearing their dresses you can unfocus your eyes and pretend....

I don't know. With the size of the crowd growing and the fact that it was at a concert the situation could have gotten uglier. I don't think it was anyone's fault but Dickless, who could have prevented the whole thing by putting his Gandalf costume back on. He was given every chance in the world and didn't leave the cops much choice. Bring on the tazering!

I can see both points however the three officers had tried numerous ways to get the dude to put his "robe" back on only progressivly leading to the tazering. I did think the knee to the chest was a little too much but hey I wasn't there.

Having wrestled naked men before in the jail, where I work, let me point out a few things. First, their control hold sucked. If they would have used the proper twist locks, they would have avoided this whole scenario. That said, once the control holds failed, he was resisting arrest, and police can use the amount of force necessary to overcome the resistance, as long as it does not shock the conscience of the court. He failed to comply with verbal commands, he physically resisted, and at one point grabbed towards one officer's crouch. The tazer was used instead of the baton. I am assuming that the man was highly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, or both. I will not make any other judgments on this situation without more info. It is easy to second guess a cop who has to make an instant decision and we have the rest of his life to judge him on it. Yes, tazers look bad, but they do less harm than other less lethal tools that police have. There have been more deaths attributed to pepper spray than the tazer. Actually, to my knowledge there have been zero deaths actually attributed to the tazer. There have been a few reports, but no official finding that the tazer was responsible.

Wow, I was long winded there.

Mage? I don't think so, the guy have no staff, not even a small wand, NOT a mage.

What kills me is the guy yelling "It's all on video. The whole world is watching." at the cops.

Has he not been to the internet? Doesn't he realize this will just be fodder for millions of people to make fun of him?

Oh yeah, and another thing. I have been REALLY fucked up, but I KNOW when I am naked and cops start putting on the rubber gloves it is time to stop.

Thousands of other people at the event and none of them were tazered.

Lets see, what was this guy doing different?

If you dont want to get tazered, don't do this kind of stupid shit. I have no pity whatsoever this this guy.

I quite enjoyed watching him flail around on the ground.

Here is the thing: Maybe he thinks his naked self is "a beautiful thing," but people at that concert who paid money to be there and enjoy the day don't want a some naked fat hippie running around creeping them out. There are probably teenage girls there who really have never SEEN a naked man before and why should they be forced to stand next to this crazy ass dude while he's "accidentally" bumping into them with his teeny genitals during the concert? Everyone has a right to just to go and listen to music without having to be visually assaulted by people like that. So thank god there are people there whose job it is to make sure that doesn't happen. Go tasers.

That chick had the biggest clit I've ever seen... Oh! That was a guy? 8\

I thought the cops were pretty patient for the most part... I've seen much shorter tempers and sorry to say... struggle/fight with the cops = rough cops

I really, really felt sorry for the officers there. With family members in varying law enforcement avenues I know that nekkid idiots are pretty much the worst thing to deal with because nearly everyone assumes that they're harmless. Grabbing at the officer's crotch was assault, which means for the Cocktail weenie king, all bets were then off. I really hope that guy learns to keep it secret, keep it safe.

Oh, and hey, there was nooooo way that dude was a rogue, even our starter daggers are bigger than that thing, and he simply would have either /evaded or /vanished on the cops. With how long it took the tazer to take effect he had to be a priest.
