Target is dividing $3 million dollars amongst 10 charities. One of them is my workplace. If you don't mind, please go to Target's Facebook Page and vote for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
It's just a clickie for a good cause.

Fuck the children!
Okay fine, I voted.
But seriously, I give more money to charities than I should each year, and its something I take seriously. I've found that this is a good tool:
http://www.charitynavigator.org/
It contains a lot of good information, but I don't pay a lot of attention to their ratings, which are based purely on 'overhead costs'. IMO, great charities are great organizations, and great organizations are going to do things like pay their management and have infrastructure, so I'm not concerned about 'overhead' as much as most people when choosing a charity- I'm not sure why thats such a huge deal in the first place. If you are all about minimizing 'overhead', go give a bum $10 for some Mad Dog.
http://www.givewell.net/ is new, so limited, but contains a lot of good info about how to select a charity that will have the most impact on your cause.
Call me a bleeding heart liberal all you want, but I still love guns and explosives and wreck people's shit for a job!
But... threadjack complete- click on your facebook and vote for Trianna's hospital!
