The rest of the week.
Well, I have finally gotten sick of Charter Communications Service as of last night!
After my 9,999,999,998th disconnect/loss of service last night, replacing my router and hub, cables and network cards, I have finally called Charter to task.....
As a lot of you know, I have a tendency to just disappear from Raids, Vent and chat over the last 6 months. So after I lost my net connection last night for the 20th time this week, I am finally having Charter come to my house and replace/test all lines from the street to my house. Hopefully this will resolve my disconnect issues, as nothing else to this point has.
So. first off I would like to apologize to the Uld raid last night, one second I was launching Ice Bolts at XT, then next second I was staring at a WoW login screen with a disconnect error.
Secondly, my ISP should be here tomorrow or Friday to do the cable work, I may or may not be up for the Sunwell Raid that I signed up for. If I need to drop out, I will give fair warning.
Thats all.
Smoochies!

I used to have an issue like that. As it turned out, the voltage on the line was too high and causing the issue. I was lucky and got a guy that new what he was talking about when I called tech services for the modem. When I tried to explain it to the cable company, they told me it was impossible, but I gave them the reading from the modem, and they sent a special tech out, who confirmed, and they had to add a special voltage regulator to the cable line.
Good luck, the cable company is very finicky about accepting fault for interrupted service. I now have DSL, btw.

Yeah I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for Verizon FiOS.
They are promising by the end of the year, the service should be offered in my hood.

Same here. My father has it and it seems great. They've been offering it in the DC suburbs for a year or so now, but DC is not supposed to have it until next year at the earliest.
