I really would like to create a Facebook page; but am very apprehensive.
My propensity for getting in giant amounts of shit when I am drunk due to overly glib tongue and keyboard and the viral nature of Facebook really scares the booboo out of me.
Is it possible to limit your account being viewed only to the friends that you choose; or supposing that you make a post such as "Torrin Sucks"...would say, a friend of the friend that read your post, be able to read it also?

As far as I know, and I am no tech wiz at all, you can make your profile only viewable to friends.

I am going to putz around with my profile and see if I can make it do what I wish.
Folks from my work have been fired for their blogging.
My style of writing at times would most likely get me burned at the stake, or lobotomized (again).

In your settings, choose "privacy" and hit manage. In each of the options that comes up, you can methodically lock down your stuff to only your friends, or a custom list. It takes awhile, but when done your posts just won't show up for people you haven't authorized. For each photo gallery you can also restrict viewing separately. I keep everything set to "friends only".
You still have to police yourself a little bit, but you can keep it to only your closest Facebook friends. With that in mind, don't accept that friends request from your boss...it never turns out well. My boss has been trying to friend me for awhile but my profile is only searchable by people who are already my friends (which means I have to initiate all friend requests myself).

I have mine set to friends only, but I was silly enough to include a couple of co-workers in my friends lists, so I censor what I say, but as long as you keep your friends list limited you should be fine to say/do whatever you want, whenever you want.

Apparently FaceBook is working to give us even more control of who sees what.... we'll see how that turns out.
