Depending on how low level the toon is, the heirloom weapons are probably also worth it. Far easier to get one of those and let it scale with level than find a good level appropriate weapon these days.

This assumes you're using the items to level a toon. For a level 80 toon - no.

I got them for my baby toon and I never have to buy gear for that slot again until 80. The bonus exp adds up, especially when you level so fast you run out of rested quickly.

So worth it!

You need to get someone to 80 before you can buy them though. They're for levelling alts.
