Hey D&D nerds,

As you may or may not know, this past summer I had the fortune to meet and befriend the son of the late, great Gary Gygax. The commercial success of D&D has turned gaming Cons into pretty big deals, so since the death of Gary, his son Luke has started 'Gary Con' in order to get back to the smaller-scale feel of the old gaming gatherings that used to take place in Lake Geneva.

This is the second year and is more open to registration. It runs 19-21 March 2010 in Lake Geneva, WI and will feature old school games being run by some of the old school originals that Gary himself used to game with.

I am pre-registered and will try like hell to be there, but I have no idea what I'll be doing with my life then, so we'll see.

Info and Registration at www.garycon.com

I'll pass this info on to gamers I know.

Who's the dude to your left? Probably a stranger, but it looks like a real ass-hat I know. Just curious.

Thats Steve Chenault (and his brother Davis is doing the Caveman in front of us). They are the Troll Lords through whom Gary published the last of his work before he died. They are also badass to party with.

I was at gencon 2 my woodstock! - and I am glad to see his son brining it back to gaming where it belongs.

I bought the Lejendary Adventures set after he died, if only to support his work since I don't have anyone to game with.

Glad to hear that's not my ass-hat but rather a good fella.
