This is the second time this has happened- the first was a few weeks ago...
I am in game, then I get booted from WoW. Cannot reconnect- I get the 'cannot connect to server' error as if the server was down. But its not. Other people are still in game. Also, vent goes down. Ventrillo and WoW only. My internet works just fine- I can still browse, IM, skype etc...
The first time it lasted about 20 min then I could log back in. Now I'm over an hour and no luck. Very strange.

Don't know for the Vent, but I have seen this happen many times in wow only effecting select people in a certain connection area, I have seen it at the city, state/province, and side of the country (i.e eastern) area.
