This is a note for Mac users.
If you update to Snow Leapard, DISABLE YOUR GUEST ACCOUNT.
When I got to work today I accidentally clicked my guest account on my lappy and was waiting for it to log in so I could log out and log in as my main account. I looked back and it was back at the choose account screen. I picked my main account and entered my password.... to find that everything was reverted to factory default settings. All files gone, all destop settings gone, all everything gone.
A little searching turned up that I am not alone in this issue.
Luckily I have my computer backed up and, though I'm having trouble getting it to restore, I don't doubt that I'll be able to get everything back since my last backup a couple days ago.

Ouch! Thanks for the warning. I still haven't upgraded, mainly because OS upgrades scare me. ow Iknow that fear is not entirely irrational!
Glad to hear you have a recent backup!
