I don't know if Vegas will work... There are not many "group" activities that don't involve a lot of money (i.e. shows), which would make it difficult/impossible for some people to attend. So we would end up being scattered the whole time and it wouldn't really feel like a VSFest. Unless we just make it an "eating" vacation and hang out in the cheap buffets the whole time! I'm open to hearing more thoughts on the Vegas idea though. And if we do choose Vegas, then yes, we should push it into October/November.

simply stating this for the record...last two weeks of june are the only time that i'd be able to attend. possibly the first week of july, but i'm not banking on it.

I think we're gonna have to skip this year. Baby-Hom's due on June 5th, so that sort of puts a damper in that... If it were the week of May 15th, we may be able to make it, but I don't think we'd be clear to fly anywhere... So, probably that rules us out as well.

Bren had mentioned having folks come see him while he's in Kansas (probably around mid-March), and I agreed to host it. It really wouldn't be a formal "VS Fest," more of a laid back thing: hanging out, eating, maybe going to the zoo or the lake. I have no other details at the moment, it was just something that was mentioned and I thought I'd bring it up.
