Anyone else getting problems applying the patch? Mine runs through to 83% and then complains of not being able to read a file in the patch data which apparently doesn't exist. (Looks for Northrend_22_28.adt in the patch-2.mpq file, but that file isn't in the mpq according to my mpq reader....)

If you're running windows vista, are you running it in administrator mode?

hmm I was able to patch on both XP and Vista no problems. I did not have the patch preloaded just started downloading it this morning.

For Vista I was logged in as the admin and had UAC disabled. But I always have it configured that way.

Yeah normally it's due to administrator rights, and if that doesn't fix it, running the game from the wow.exe rather than the launcher does.

No administrator problems - I'm running XP Pro as an admin user. When I get back home, I'll try running the main program directly and see if it makes a difference. If not, I guess I'll be re-downloading the patch files....

Let us know what happens yeah? <3

Edit: I'm just waiting for my US client to finish downloading and then patching. I'm especially waiting for windows 7 to throw a total fit and be like 3.3? NO CHANCE!

Same problem here, Fren with Windows 7. I'm running the repair tool now and then going to try again.

Well, I'm about 30% through a projected 14 hour download. Hopefully this shit works right after all that.

Nope. No luck. grrrr...

The patch "base\world\maps\Northrend\Northrend_38_27.adt" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0x5f10f809, actual 0x477e3a5b.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. Sounds like I may have a corrupted patch file -- re-downloading.

*everything has been run as Administrator.

FAIL. Trying one last repair though sounds like I'm about to reinstall. *sigh*

Any luck, Fren?

No luck getting anything I'd downloaded to patch. I started redownloading the patch from another source and rebuilding the install from 3.0.1. So far, it looks like the rebuild/patch is going to finish before the redownload does, so we'll see what comes of that. Got another 25 minutes or so 'til either finishes though.

Everything I've tried has now failed. Reinstalling.

Afer a 16 hour download, I get the folowing message when I run the installer:

The update could not be applied. The file "C:\World of Warcraft\wow-partial-1.MPQ" appears to be corrupt. You may need to download this file again

To check this installation for problems, click the "Repair" button. The Repair tool can automatically fix many update errors.

I run the repair tool. It goes through all the diagnostics without error before reaching step 17 of 17 where it checks 3.2.2.10505, gets 90% through the check and stops at 26.1 of 26.3 MB and says 'downloading...' there it stays.

Running as administrator, protection software turned off.

re-downloading is not an option for me until I return to the states. Anything else you guys think I could try?

Try setting your WoW directory to not be read-only.

LOST Season 5 came out the same day as the patch. The Island is making it so you can't play WoW. YOU MUST GET BACK TO THE ISLAND.

Have you checked the support forums on the official site to see if others are having trouble?

I've fixed a couple issues in the past by doing that.

I had read everything there up to the point where I reinstalled. Heading home now to see if that worked (it was patching again when I left for work).

I reinstalled on both my Windows 7 and Vista machines. Works fine now.
