With the changes to Black Magic...I'm wondering if it's worth using now. Is it as viable as Berserking? For me, more haste means Maelstrom Weapon stacks to 5 faster which means more insta-cast lightning. But the 400 AP from Berserking is still pretty stout.

Thoughts?

If shaman behave anything like rogues, this will largely depend on the synergy of all your gear together. One of the reasons I have about 15 weapons hanging out in my bank is that my upgrades occasionally make lower level weapons or enchants better for me.

Rogues have a spreadsheet, and it appears as though Enhancement Shamans have a Simulator. I downloaded it and took a quick peak and I must say I'm a little jealous. It looks awesome.

It'll probably take a little bit of reading to get the most out of it - but that's what Dondoh's for right?

Basically, I think that the answer to your question would be that both enchants are better depending upon the rest of your gear.

So I finally got EnhSim to work. With my current gear Berserking still edges out Black Magic. But I did experiment with my spec and glyphs and found a way to squeeze out another 150 unbuffed DPS.
