As most of you know, we are looking at switching from Ventrilo over to Mumble and have been testing it recently. I think everyone who has been using Mumble over the last week is pretty happy with it. So I'm going to suggest we all switch over for now and see how it goes. If all goes well I'll cancel the Vent subscription in March.

Ya, I am very pleased. I really like when I talk and someone else's mic is open and I can hear my own voice near-instantaneously. I have to now get out of the habit of announcing things in raids a second before I need to.

The overlay is pretty awesome, too.

Do people still use Mumble? I haven't been in there in a while and it seems silly to pay $14 per month if y'all are not using it either. If people are using it, I'll keep it running. But if not, then maybe I'll stop the subscription until VS starts up in a new game. Thoughts?

Or, switch to a cheaper vendor. I pay about $2.50 a month for a 10 person Mumble (there's a discount I get from the listed price). It's charged by the number of slots. But, no, I don't use the VS server.

I've spun up a mumble server since the old one was no longer working. The details are currently in the guild info tab ingame. The information will most likely change as I'll be migrating to a new server sometime next week. But in the meantime feel free to use it as needed.

Hey thanks for doing this! I've had family in this week so I've been in and out just to do dailies and garrison, so I've not tried the server. Will check it out soon!
