Does anyone here have any plans to play Star Wars: The Old Republic when it comes out? I know I plan to. I figured if there were a number of us who planned to play that perhaps there could be a TOR branch of VS (assuming there's enough of us interested) considering that Bioware opened up the ability to set up your guild with TOR early.

Anyone? Or am I the only one with plans to play TOR?

I'm pretty sure Killian is all over this and will likely have a website and everything
Um. I don't know about that.

Does not Amanda sound like Darth Vader in the above quote?

Hmmmm.
I only play Alliance because Eyeshark picked up WoW before I did, and I wanted to have a friend to play with. Roll Sith and we may be able to talk.
Or, choose to play for the weakass Republic and let me Force Choke you till your head pops off.

I will play if there is an honest to goodness trader class.
I would love just ONE mmo to do a trader class correctly.

Actually the original SWG crafter/merchant clases were pretty spot on. The things you made were better quality than anything else out there. And depending on how diligent you were in finding the best materials and taking the time to form the best components you could produce products that were better than your competition. My character was a crafter who ran a shop. I carried a weapon to clear the occasional varmit that was around my mines but I spent months just roleplaying running a shop and loved it.
I had/have high hopes for the old repubilc but as EA gets more and more control over Bioware I am less inclined to believe they will release a quality product. Sure hope I am wrong though casue I am going to try it out either way and I hate being taken for a sucker.

Ahhh...the good old days. I think that I played a hairdresser in SWG v1; his name was Dirge Goldilocks.

QFT...ditto.
I plan on having my toon look like this.

The way I see it, it's better that it's EA than Activision. EA at least is willing to take chances on unknown properties (see Mirror's Edge, Henry Hatsworth, Dead Space) while Activision seems content to push out Guitar Hero: Retirement Rock and Call of Duty: Thems Be Terrorists. Not that EA doesn't release sequels to sequels (see Madden) but over the last however many years, they've published quite a number of quality (and sometimes original) titles.
