Well, it's April. The snow is melting, the geese are returning from migration, and I'm doing the Relay For Life (an all night run/walk for cancer. This year, I've decided to amble. Ha!)
This year I've got more reasons to run than previous years. My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer and has been doing chemo for the past six months. I'm happy to say that he'll be done at the end of April and we'll be walking in the survivor's lap! We're both really really lucky. :)
Our team theme is the same as last year's: Mother Goose Conspiracy Theories. We're going all out this time round! We're gonna have a banner, a mascot (an inflatable cow jumping over a flying saucer) and tinfoil hats! The hats are great for keeping off the rain which, as I've mentioned in previous posts, comes every year (technically, the first year was a hurricane!). It's now assumed that I bring the rain since the only year I didn't run was the only year they didn't have rain. We've even got a new tent this year! A wonderful thing since our old tent had more holes than Swiss cheese.
So, this is my long-winded way of asking for pledges. :D
If anyone wants to pledge me, here's the website to go to:
http://convio.cancer.ca/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFL_ON_odd_?px=3883581&pg=personal&fr_id=8730
Hopefully, this year I'll manage to take some pictures I can share. Especially pics of Twistle doing the survivor's lap. :)
Thanks guys!!

P.S. I'd love it if someone changed my tag from Ovumlord to Rainmaker. :D

I just want to pop in quickly and thank everyone who donated to my Relay For Life team! This year was a huge success! I had a wonderful time and for once IT DIDN'T RAIN!!
I guess I'm not the Rainmaker after all. :)
Anyway, I've got a few pics that I'll share on my Facebook page and my dad took a great video of Me, Twistle and our little one all walking in the survivor's lap together. I'll link it here as soon as he puts it up on YouTube!
Thanks again you guys!
Love you all!

Well, my dad finally got around to editing that video. Here it is on YouTube:

It's not nearly as long as I thought it would be, but it's still pretty cool. :D
Thanks again to everyone who donated! It was a wonderful event!!

I am absolutely dreading the teen years. We're gonna have to invest in a shotgun. :)
