As someone who really liked Torchlight, Vindictus, and several other Diablo-style games - especially the kind you can load up with a friend - I tried a couple of levels in the new dungeon crawler Spiral Knights and was actually really pleased with it. It has a more Zelda-like flavor with the cute graphics, buttons and switches.

The free to play mechanics are not very punishing (you spend energy to do dungeons and it refreshes every 24 hours, or someone can pay for your energy.)
