Okay, Dogfish Head now has a 120 minute IPA. The problem is, Alabama laws won't allow retailers to offer it here and we can't have interstate commercial shipments. After asking friends in various states to find me a couple of bottles of this undoubtedly delicious brew, I started to feel pretty discouraged. Then, I remembered that VS has some pretty serious boozehounds that should be able to sniff out anything. So, from beyond the VS ranks, I beg that if any of you are able to get your hands on any of this (evidently sales in most places have been limited to two bottles, and most of it is gone), that you please please PLEASE let me know. I will reimburse your cost 200% and pay for shipment. For a group of connoisseurs in Tuscaloosa, this is the current Holy Grail. I love most of Dogfish Head's offerings and I understand that there should be a release of this brew in the fall that will be triple the volume of the current one, but I'd like to try it NOW. So, if you can help me out, just let me know. Hope everyone is doing well.

It's pretty powerful stuff. I had some in New York about 3 years ago. Flavor was odd, but the ABV will crush you. Definitely worth a try, but its not an everyday kinda brew. I haven't seen much of Dogfish Head since I moved out to the wrong coast. I bet Rastus can score some.

According to Gleja, it's a tough beer to brew, and they had problems with a batch a year or so ago and had to dump the whole thing. Now they think they have figured it out, and recently resumed making it. I have not seen it locally, but I will keep an eye out for it. I've only tasted it, never had a whole glass, but it is damned powerful. I will be out at their brewpub in Rehoboth in August, so if I can't score some before then, I'll check there. Maybe I'll even take a detour and stop at their brewery...

That would be MOST excellent. I understand that the most recent batch was only 100 barrels, so I wouldn't call my outlook "optimistic" for this venture. But, if you happen to find some, I'll take every bottle available.

I've had it twice: the first time on tap, and it was the most amazing beer ever. The second time from a bottle, and it was terrible. Maybe the bottle was old, I dunno. Freshness certainly counts for a lot with this beer.

According to DFH's press release ( http://www.dogfish.com/community/blogfish/members/mariah/share-and-share-alike.htm ) , Maryland and DC should get some. But who knows exactly how much. Super limited beer can sell out in hours. Hope you get some!

Sorry, man, I was at the brewery on Friday and they had none available. Bummer for all of us! I'll continue to keep my eye out. I've been fortunate enough to haft it on draft twice in the last few weeks, and it really is quite amazing.

It appears that there are many stores over here in the Seattle area that are carrying it - at least according to the Fish Finder. I'll look into it.
