So, this last weekend, I had some nasty telemarkerters call. I work graves and they start calling at like 9:00 AM. My wife tried to reason with them because it was the same people calling once an hour. The one guy threatened to call 100 times. It was stricktly an English as a second language operation. It was either from India or Pakistan judging from the two accents I heard. They claimed to be from Microsoft Tech Support. I finally got tired of the calls and told the guy I only own Apple products. He was dumbfounded and has not called back since.

My wife was asstonished at the "awesomness" I showed and now that she will answer and once she realizes it as a telemarkerter she will only speak in speed Italian and swear the guy out.

Any other ideas out there? I can't keep from laughing for very long so the long phone pranks don't work well for me, so I am awarding bonus points for quickness.

i usually pick up, put it on mute, and let the line sit open. we kept getting telemarketers are work, and sometimes they'd sit there for 10-12 minutes or more. lately though i keep getting "Tom with Home protection" yadda yadda robo call and i can't get it to stop. the worst part is that it calls from different area codes, so when i was expecting job calls from up here, i'd pick every call up. now, if i don't recognize it, i don't answer.
