OK...I have a conundrum.
I am strongly thinking about purchasing the new ipad. My problem is that I associate tablets with social media...which I hate...with a passion.
Now I know that probably all of you have some form of tablet and that most of you enjoy social media also.
So am I barking up the wrong tree here and should utilize my money in some other arena; or am I unfairly looking at the iPad in too narrow of a light?
I really dig the technology...but I am utterly torn. </shrug>
Thoughts?

I wouldn't categorize you as hating social media: Posts: 1,878 :D
I got my iPad strictly for the games and have not been disappointed from that aspect. Other things piss me off about it but I knew that before purchasing it. I guess it depends on what your expectations are.

Are there any fishing apps?

There are aquarium apps. And yes, you can catch the fish.

VS DOES NOT COUNT AS SOCIAL MEDIA; IT COUNTS AS THERAPY!
I did notice Catan and Carcassonne apps, which have potential; as none of the knuckle-scraping pikeys that live around here can even pronounce the words.

Personally I would get an android tablet over an iAnything. I don't like all the hype associated with most Apple products, especially when something similar can be found in other products that just aren't marketed as well. Granted, there are times that the apple product has it first (whether it was their innovation or they bought the rights to it), but it usually isn't long before someone else can do it too, and sometimes a lot better. Look at some of the Samsung products on the market... Depending on what you want to use a tablet for, you may find that an Android or Windows (shudder) based tablet might be a better fit for what you want to do. (PS, I am a MS guy most of the time, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.)
