I am adding an addition to house my old man. The process is quite possibly the most frustrating experience I have ever had.
Please forgive the imminent (increase in) insanity on my part, it will be temporary I hope.
Oh Yeah...Frenial is still a robot...and drinks whiskey from a glass with a toe in it.

The toe is what gives it that smooth flavor
Good luck with the reno! I don't envy you.... but I do look forward to more insanity on the forums! :D

I don't often drink whiskey, but when I do I drink whiskey from a glass with a toe in it.
(This statement is true because I *never* drink whiskey.)

WHAT? Tennessee/Kentucky Bourbon is about the only 80ish proof worth drinking neat. Toes optional. Maybe some Irish versions.

Which is more frustrating, building the addition or housing the old man?

Nothing 80ish proof is worth drinking neat.
"Isn't this vodka smooth?"
"Dunno. All I taste is the alcohol."
"Here, try some whiskey."
"Tastes just like the vodka. In other words, like alcohol."
"OK, try the gin instead."
"Yup. Tastes like alcohol too."

You obviously didn't taste gin, because straight gin tastes like Pinesol.

You're right, I didn't taste gin - all I tasted was the alcohol.

I should rip those St. George Cocktail Flight School dog tags right off your neck, Fren.
Well here I go...told the contractor to proceed today.
Whee.
Whee.

Gods be with you, man.
1.5 months and this thing has become my white whale. The rain has been epic and it is because of me. I have declared war against nature; there can be only one.

Ditch the reno... come to Toronto!

Well they cut my entire phone cable and I was without broadband or TV for five days.
I had gotten so crazy I was debating sacrificing a llama or maybe an aardvark to the internet gods.
The phone guy has managed to cross-wire mine and my neighbours house. Now when my phone rings, it's for my neighbour. Yep.

Wow... this sounds like a nightmare! Good luck, Pils!
I HAVE A SLAB!...right in time for Isaac to flood my house. The contractor has rigged a big slab shower curtain (no shit) I will include pictures. Tomorrow they will be adding a slab backsplash to avoid the rain coming into my house. Progress is Progress I suppose.
