I'm hearing a lot of positive word of mouth on this one. Downloading now, boring thoughts to come.

I love the original games. I still have them and occasionally try to make them work on my newer computers... I prefer the game play of the first two and was not impressed by the third one... I think I may also go check this out also...

Steam has versions of the classic games that work fine on newer computers. I bought the package on sale for $5 not long ago and had a blast revisiting. Keep an eye out for the holiday sales, especially with the new game I am sure they will have them on sale again.

I have the original on Steam as well. The advantage here is that Steam will always keep it working, or they will stop selling it.

The demo is highly advised so you can see some of the changes in the combat system. Be advised that you will have, at most, a 6 man squad for missions and that is it. It does make balance a little easier. However, as soldiers are wounded and healing up you have to shuffle others into your lineup so you don't always have the exact same squad for missions.
