So I have been thinking about returning to the game, if even for a little while. I have been out so long though that it will take a bit of reading to figure out what to do with each character and to relearn how to play each one with the changes that have happened while I have been away. So I thought I would ask you guys if it is worth the reading to figure it all out to come back. Are people playing again (last time I played, I found that there was usually nobody on and guild chat had gone almost completely dead)? I miss the chatter and watching the guild chat. Has Mists brought people back on a more regular basis again?

I for one would suggest to come back and just have fun with it. Yes, many things have changed and if you need anything let me know.

It will take a bit of work to learn the new talent system and so on but you'll be back in the swing before you know it. And guild chat is much more lively than it was back in the summer!

Got distracted by Diablo III and the new XCOM: Enemy Unknown demo... I did get the client re-installed though so I will likely be back in game in the next week or so... at least for the 10 days I got for free at a minimum... :)

Why not have one of your guildies send you an scroll of resurrection. You could avail of the lvl 1 to 80 instant boost of a character of your choice. They could get a mount for sending it to you.
