Launched yesterday. I know some of us are playing on Mindflayer.

I never thought this game had the chops to be a good long-term home, but its a fun distraction while we all still wait for ESO.

Also, its free.

Download it here: http://nw.perfectworld.com/

Piraken Shadowsong, Devoted Cleric

Using the F key to interact is a bit strange

You can change the key bindings I found. So if F is weird (it is to me) I was able to change it to E

Also! Friending is a little dumb. You have to know the character name AND their account name - So I'm either Piraken@kethyar or Piraken Shadowsong@kethyar

Well it works...which is more than I can say for a lot of things on Windows 8.

Did I make a major faux pas by using a valid email address; or have I killed so many braincells that I have no bloody clue what my account name is?

Made a chat channel until the guild can be set up named NiceDPS. Everyone I have seen in game so far has admin rights and can invite.

My toons name is Leoice; he is a .5 orc giant sword user.

The game has potential, as long as it is not too scripted. Loot appears to be rare, which is good.

I have no idea if there is any type of crafting. We will see.

There's crafting. It's akin to SW:TOR where you send your minion out to craft. So basically you just queue him up to do something and then get back to questing. After the amount of crafting time has passed, your item is finished and you can queue up something else. I tend to forget I was making something, so I haven't advanced too far yet.

I like this game.

Please tell me there are open zones, though. Well there would have to be, I suppose?

Is it possible to just walk out of Neverwinter like you would walk out of Ironforge?

So far it doesn't seem like it.

From what I have found so far, it is a series of closed maps leading one to the other. I have been liking it so far though.

Part of me wants to buy the $60 founders pack, but part of me is going 'But that's sixty bucks I can spend on ice cream, rum and bacon'

That being said, if anyone wants to get me a late birthday gift :D

We have not run across farming yet. Just a few professions - metalsmithing, platesmithing, leatherworking, tailoring and leadership.

Part of me says that's a dangerous combination, but part of me wants to have a White Russian Milkshake.
