I think possibly you have been eating the wrong kind of cake. Try eating more cake of different types. Although I do not recommend fruitcake. I think someone tried to make a pie into a cake and came up with that one....

Pie is inherently superior to cake. Pie can either be dessert or a meal, adapting to all situations. Cake started at the bottom of a urinal and evolved into a dessert.
