Is Curse still the place to get them. Is there a current guide up anywhere? Or anyone want to give a rundown on the basics of what's hot right now?

I still use Curse. But I also use a full UI overhaul called ElvUI. It's really about your personal tastes. Deadly Boss Mods is really the only must have if you plan to do dungeons or raids.

The only things I'm using are DBM, SExyMap (so I can get coordinates), and lifebloomer for druid healing.

If you find yourself pulled into the garrison mission mini-game, Master Plan is invaluable.

Yup, I am running elvUI as well. Much cleaner look and more screen space. Few others that I run are Master plan, Omen, GTFO. GTFO is very helpful if you find yourself dying in fires. Plays different warning for medium and high damage. Healers will definitely appreciate you for using this addon.

Curse is the best place for most addons. Some specific ones you can get at wowinterface as well.

What sort of game guide you were looking for? Leveling guide? Zygor is very good and I can point you to where you can get it (free) if you are interested. Very good for leveling alts if you want to be on auto pilot. Watch a movie and follow the arrow.

As far as guides go, you can look at class guides at icy-veins.com. Leveling is pretty quick and painless. My pally is leveling as tank and it still doesn't take forever to kill anything. You get the level 90 boost with the xpac, so you should only have to do 90-100

Since a lot quests require you to kill X number or collect X number of stuff, I find that chain pull massive number of mobs when leveling is the way to go as a tank. Works very well with Glyph of the Consecrator. Killing 2-3 targets at a time is too slow for my taste personally. Use execution sentence as your 90 talent and use it only for healing. Not worth it for quest mobs. Leveling pally as a tank was a pleasure.
