So.... one of my Christmas gifts from Gota this year was the collector edition of this latest expansion. He keeps telling me every time a new person logs on, hoping that will be my breaking point and get me to return to the game. Not for the love of the game, but for the love of the people.
I finally caved. I unwrapped the box and inserted DVD 1 to install... then spent about 20 minutes trying to locate my damn authenticator! And now back to installing.
I have not been keeping up with anything in the WoW world, and I suspect this is going to be a huge learning curve after 2 years of not playing.
Anyone have the Idiot's Guide on Returning to WoW?

Executive summary for hunters:
- You no longer have to buy ammo.
- Your only weapon will be the gun, bow, or crossbow you fire at things. No spears/halberds/etc.
- You no longer have a minimum range. Keep firing!
- You may see mail with other stats on it like intelligence, as well as agility. The intelligence will be grayed out for you. Doesn't apply. Just look at the agility.
- The first couple of hours of Draenor are a sequence of quests to introduce to major characters and to establish your garrison. During that time you won't really be given much of a chance to pause (as you'd be used to normally, at any rate). Just keep going 'til you establish your garrison.
- Garrisons are good.
- If you're wondering about buildings to build, replace the barracks you're forced to build with a dwarven siege works, get your crafting building(s) up as soon as you can, and investigate buildings to help you garner garrison resources (like a trading post or a lumber mill).
- You'll be low on garrison resources at the start, but eventually you won't be able to get rid of them fast enough.
- Pick up as many followers as you can.
- There are no trainers to get your professions to go up to 700: instead, you learn by doing. Eventually you will find a manual that ups the upper limit on your profession.
- You get a mine you can get ore from (whether you're a miner or not) at level 92, and an herb garden to pick flowers in at level 96. You will end up with more ore and flowers than you know what to do with if you follow the usual WoW procedure of harvesting them every day.
- There is now a reagent tab in the bank to put all your reagents in. Buy it, fill it. You no longer need things like an herbing bag if you can get back to the bank often enough.
- Pets, toys, mounts, heirlooms all go in a collection tab now. You will have oodles of bank space for a while. Then you won't. You won't know where it went.
There's probably more you'll find that's different, but that should be enough to get you started.

I hadn't played in about 2 years either. It didn't take me long at all to get back in the swing of things.
For this achievement, I would like to thank my mother who has stood by me through all the ups and downs, my father and all of you who had reminded me of the the benefits and help me keep my eye on the prize.
You are all welcome.

Same here, I had been gone quite a while and slipped back in pretty easily.
