Ah, but I never said the math was correct! O.o
I may just be a Sith Lord intent on getting you to spend all your cash and time questing for useless upgrades while I ruthlessly slaughter your leaders and rape your women!
Mwhuahahahaha!

I think for a lot of classes it depends on how you're spec'd. For example, the new pally set adds to healing and magical effects for almost every piece of Soulforge, without taking away the +200 set bonus for armor until it's absolutely necessary, since that's the first set bonus you get.
This is AWESOME for me, because I'm holy/prot, but might not be so awesome for Jami, who is ret spec.
Whether it is worth it to upgrade as a priest will probably depend on the spec too - for example, if the priest upgrade adds a lot to healing effects but reduces +Int, it's probably not worth the mana loss for a Shadow Spec priest, but it might be worth it for a holy spec priest. :)
(Please tell me if I sound like an insufferable Hermione-type know it all, as it is totally not my intent, and I have become annoyed at people who have done so to me.)

The stats listed are how much better (or worse in some situations) the Dungeon 2 armor is over the original.
For example,
Shadowcraft armor has a combined Armor rating of 978, while the Darkmantle has a combined armor rating of 1047, a difference of +69 armor.

Indeed, Ing, and I am the saddest facemelty priest ever because Virtuous is so much prettier than Devout (Aro looks lovely in yellow) but the int loss kicks my ass.

Also remember that this info is for the COMPLETE set, individual pieces may not be worth upgrading until you can do the whole set.
Also remember that the set bonuses were "flipped" for the upgraded armor, so that may be something to consider as well.
Oh and Arolaide, that has to be the funniest sig I've seen in a loooong time!

The best part is that it came up when we all were, in fact, discussing the merits and demerits of having hot toons in a bar.
