Sure you will. Maybe not for a while - but once the expansion pack comes out, the existing 40 man dungeons will be cake for level 70 characters. :)

Course, at that point there will be yet MORE stuff to drool over that we won't be able to attain, but them's the breaks! :D

Well, doing a 40-man with a bunch of 70s in one thing. Actually getting the mats to make a Legendary item is another. It costs a serious amount of gold. Take a look at what it costs to make Thunderfury:

My guess is this:

The patch is going to introduce the quest to get the legendary. It'll probably require some drops from Naxx and other 40-mans. But the actual completion of the staff will probably be part of the expansion. It is Medivh's staff, after all. Makes sense that you'll have to do something in his tower (which I notice the staff teleports you to), to complete the staff. And Khazaran isn't being added until the expansion.

It is, in fact, Medivh's staff.

I'm not so sure of what the cost will be to make it -- the thing about TF is that you only need two pieces to create it, which is to say, the two halves of the Windseeker Bindings from Molten Core. To my mind, Blizzard required the additional materials as a way of adding more weight to the acquisition of the item. I think they're going a different route with this staff, as it's been split into (from what I've read) at LEAST forty pieces, scattered throughout Naxxaramas and elsewhere in the world. I'd be surprised if, given that, there were too many other requirements lol. But one never knows.

Looks like Deme has it right. You need to find 40 pieces. Then you combine the 40 pieces to start a quest. Not sure what happens after that.
