First, it should be noted that there a number of wings to Naxxramas, divided by the type of mob which inhabits them. On our first night we spent most of our time in the Deathknight wing. You can get an idea of the divisions in this picture:

The portal is in the center of a circular room which contains the entrances to the various wings. You can see the abomination wing entrance as well as the central portal here. You can also see my plain and boring UI :x Don't ask why I have the warrior and druid lifebars pulled out ... I don't even know.

First deathknight pull~!

When discussing the decor of Naxxramas with his advisors, Kel'Thuzad's plan obviously did not involve enough skull motifs.

Guy in a cage! His quest text was funny, so I have capped it for you:

Definitely not enough skulls.

These guys have a stacking agony aura that is a real pain in the ass :(

Evil horsies ;(

Instructor Razuvious. You can get an idea of how this fight is supposed to work from the shot: basically, he comes with a number of adds that have to be mind controlled such that they do the tanking for you. The goal is to kill him before he kills all of the adds. One major problem is that he has a shout ability which does damage based on the amount of mana you have left. In other words, he's capable of wiping out 3/4 of the raid very quickly.

http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/anub.jpg
Anub's room. We didn't attempt him right then, but we'd worked on it on test -- it is kind of gross, as fights go (to give you an idea: when a raid member dies, a number of corpse scarabs spill out of their bodies). The green liquid you see everywhere in Naxx IS poisonous and it WILL kill you if you stand in it for too long.

A clean shot of the above.

Hope you enjoyed, I'll take some more tonight if we do anything new :D

<3 Deme (wasting her life so you don't have to~!)

Awesome thanks!

I definitely loved the text from the handbook, good stuff!

Have to say though that it definitely was not what I expected. I don't know why but for some reason I expected it to look more like the lost city of Frore from AC1.

How do you play with all those blue names floating around? Doesn't that drive you completely bonkers?

Needs more skulls.

For some reason it makes my heart smile that some DRUID was named VEGETTA. Somewhere a mighty prince of Saiyans is scowling (more than usual).

Rather than clutter up the forum with new threads, I'll just update this topic with new pictures for anyone who wants to have a look at our progress.

Ripp, it does get a little crazy on my screen sometimes, but I sort of like having the names for some reason XD;; Maybe I should turn them off, just for the sake of cleaner shots!

Kel'Thuzad's cat, Mr. Bigglesworth:

Interior of the Abomination wing--I had to snap this quickly as we were running through, because if you linger in this room then Globbulus (one of the bosses) will A) throw slimes at you and B) kill you:
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/abomint.jpg

Patchwerk, the first Abom wing boss--his ability Hateful Strike hits tanks for 8k. *_* The slimes there aren't targetable, but if you run through them, you will die lol -- that's what the hunter in front of me was preparing to do just before I took this shot:
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/patchwerk.jpg

Mid-air death courtesy of Anub'Rekhan--he has an Impale ability wherein spikes shoot from the ground and propel you into the air. You take damage from the spikes and even more damage from the fall when you hit the ground, but I was already at low health so the spikes killed me:
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/birdseyetwo.jpg

Grand Widow Faerlina. She has four adds, two Worshippers and two uh ... Followers, maybe? The Followers have to be killed, and the Worshippers are mind controlled and sacrificed to her when she Enrages. We haven't killed her yet, she's the boss after Anub'Rekhan.
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/grandwidow.jpg

Enormous spiders. Their poison attack ticks for 2500.
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/bigspider.jpg

Noth the Plaguebringer. He has a curse which lasts for three seconds; if it is not dispelled the entire raid will wipe. We killed him a few nights ago, and again last night.
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/nothtwo.jpg

A look into the plagued garden which you can access after killing Noth (we haven't ventured in here yet):
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/evilgarden.jpg

And just cause I can't get over it ... this is during the middle of Anub'Rekhan. Look at all those names. Of them all, I'm the only female :(:
http://kurai.com/wow/naxx/onlygirl.jpg

That's all for now, enjoy <3

It wasn't me, it was a paladin in the raid! :( I cried over his sad, broken body.

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN :o

We've killed Faerlina several times since I made my last post, although not without some difficulty.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/enragedfae.jpg

Following her is the final boss of the spider wing, a (surprisingly) giant spider named Maexxna. Arolaides may not want to view the following screen. Maexxna is a very LARGE spider.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/maexxna.jpg

One of the key components of the Maexxna fight is that she periodically tosses several raid members onto a wall of cobwebs near the room's entrance and encases them in a cocoon. While cocooned, you have to endure a significant nature based DoT (600-700 every few secs). My primary job is to destroy these cocoons so that my comrades can fight on.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/webwall.jpg

Of course, sometimes I get cocooned myself :(
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/webwrap.jpg

After Maexxna is killed, an eye shaped portal opens up on the opposite wall, which takes you back to the entrance. This signifies that Maexxna was that wing's 'boss,' meaning that the wing is now completely clear.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/portal.jpg

We've taken a look at the boss following Noth, a creepy fellow named Heigan the Unclean. To get to him, you have to run a gauntlet through an unpleasant garden full of bats and maggots and things:
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/garden.jpg

In addition, you can't rest post gauntlet because he aggros instantly upon you entering his room.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/heigroom.jpg

He is a big dude :(
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/heigan.jpg

One of his primary abilities, it seems, is to cause a poison eruption to spew out of the cracks in the floor. This = instant death.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/heigansplash.jpg

We decided to leave that alone for now and go back to work on the first boss of the abomination wing, Patchwerk. In order to defeat Patchwerk, the raid must sustain an overall dps of about 10,000 for about 7 minutes (you have a limited time frame in which to kill him because of his timed enrage). Patchwerk has an ability called Hateful Strike, which, as I mentioned, hits even plate for gazillions of damage. However, if everything is timed and prepared carefully, this ability and its effects can be controlled. Last night we finally killed him.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/patchdead.jpg

After him you take a short walk through a few rows of meandering slimes. These slimes are not targetable, but if you run too near or over them, they will kill you. Just have to avoid them, frogger style. Of course, tons of people died.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/badslime.jpg

The next boss after Patchwerk is Grobbulus. He is easy, and also hideous. We killed him in about three attempts, right after Patch.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/grobdead.jpg

After Grobbulus is a horrible dog like thing named Gluth.
http://www.kurai.com/wow/naxx/gluth.jpg

To reach Gluth, you have to run through a 'toxic tunnel' which is coated in a poisonous substance that emanates a damaging gas. Stand too long in it, and you will die. Which we did.

Please to enjoy <3
