Not that anyone even noticed we were gone but Calliana and Skypop took a short trip out of state. Had a great time, even got to see Val and Val's new pimp mobile (after he sort of drove his last car into a large body of water :o ) .
Have to mention a few things from the travels. Was great to see family and friends while we were gone. Loaded up with some great foods ( http://www.fairgroundfarmersmkt.com/ ) to bring back to Tn. Had our share of Philly steak sandwitches and real hot dogs ( http://hollyeats.com/Yoccos.htm ) ( http://hollyeats.com/Potts.htm ) compared to these strange looking ones they sell down south :) .
On the way back we stopped for gas in southern Virginia and topped off the tank for $1.97.9 a gallon, never thought I would see that price again. Looks like it may be comming down more in the next few weeks.
We noticed that there are now allot of personal license plates on cars. The one that won the prize as the most original ( trying to wonder who in our guild would like to have one ) ;) was " Mouth4-U" . Was a girl in her 20s driving a Eclipse and yes she was on her cell phone when we passed her.
So we should be back on-line today.

Welcome back!
Having used to live in VA, I can tell you I saw more personalized plates there than anywhere else. I think they might actually hold some kind of record.

As for the personalized plates, I see a bunch of them here in Anchorage, too.

Just an FYI on the same subject - I haven't been on hardly at all lately myself because work is kicking my ass (like Torrin, sometimes end of month is a bitch) and by the time I get home I don't particularly want to look at a computer :D But this weekend is a 3 day weekend thankfully so I'll be in game then and ready to hear some drunks on vent!
Yay! Jam and booze!

OH! And what about Abner's at 38th and Chestnut for steaks? I haven't been there in a while (dunno if it's even still there)? And how about Lee's Hoagies?

Lee's are ok - the bestest of the best Hoagies you get at Lombardi's on 12th & Ritner in South Philly. My favorite steak is Jim's on 3rd & South.
If you're around 38th & Chestnut stop in The New Deck for a beer. It's a good Irish bar & the food in there's not to shabby either.

There was a Lee's on Bustleton Ave by Rhawn where I used to go as a kid. I used to LOVE that place. The other locations I've been to just aren't as good.
Never been to Lombardi's. And yea, Jim's on 3rd and South is the best.
I prefer Wizzard's at 38th and Chestnut. :)

There's a Lee's on 2nd Street Pike, I forget the cross-road though. There's also one on Street Road & York next to the Leslie's Pool Supply.
Wanna have fun: take someone from outta town to Pat's Steaks and let them order their own cheesesteak, screw it up, and watch the cashier kick them to the back of the line. One time after a Flyers/Rangers game a New Yorker was in front of us at Pat's and took his sweet ass time ordering, and ordered Swiss on his steak (a sin in philly) he didn't get the boot like I thought but they threw his steak at him and yelled "DON'T EVER F*UCKIN' COME BACK, GAVONE!". I love that shit.lol

LOL! Yea, I've seen that happen to people from time to time. You'll get college kids from out of town who get taken down there and have NO clue what goes on. I love it when the crowd yells at them to.
I once went to Pat's with one of my frat brothers and his girlfriend (who was from Pittsburgh). She was a shy, quite, timid little thing. Her and my frat brother had been fighting, so when he suggested he order for her she was like, "I don't need your help ordering a sandwhich."
Poor girl nearly started crying.

the guy that runs this website ( http://hollyeats.com/Philadelphia.htm ) lives in Philly. He was at the NC BBQ Cookoff ( http://hollyeats.com/BlueRidgeBBQ.htm where we lived before retiring and moving to Tn ) . Yeah Val, next time we are up we need to take a day and go over to the Whitehouse in AC, have wanted to do that for a while now.
