Nothing class specific here. Just consolidating all the nifty general info from the various threads.
"Non raiding hunters get the best of both worlds. All Tier sets are just as good (no nerf accept for AG but you get AP for it)..this includes tier .5 gear. However, you non raiders are gonna be kids in a candy store when you see what you can upgrade to IMMEDIATELY. from Day one I have seen green drops, green quest rewards all over the place that made me stop and think about my gear...and I have T2. You guys will be getting upgrades at the drop of a hat. So you guys will be buffed quickly...we T2 and aboves have to wait a while.
As an example, at level 60-62 I saw this kind of gear:
green helm with 19agility and 40 AP (among other things like 20 stamina)
green shoulders with 62 AP (yes 62 AP)
green claw (one hand) with 47DPS and 9AG and 18AP
green neck with 38AP and like 12 Stamina
much more...(going of memory). "
"Green-quality (comparatively easy to make in other words) 18 slot bags, and blue 20 slotters. Presumably there'll be an epic or raid-blue 22 slotter. Backpacks are still stuck at 16"
"To get TO outland, you either A) need to go throug the Dark Portal - which is no longer guarded by elite demons, at least on the Azeroth side ;), B) Beg a Mage who's gotten Exalted with the Scryer faction in Shattrath (a neutral capital city complete with its own map and 3 factions in Terokar Forest) to portal you, or C) Bind there and hearth. To get FROM outland, you need to A) go through the Dark Portal, B) Get a portal from a mage, C) Bind in azeroth/kalimdor and hearth, or D) Walk through one of the permanent one-way portals in Shattrath to each of the 8 capital cities."
"The Dark Portal is pretty cool. The Legion Front (just past the Dark Portal) is pretty cool. Then Barrens fatigue sets in until you wise up and get the %#*% out of Hellfire Peninsula (HFP has the same color scheme as Durotar - all red all the time. Plus, it's a huge zone and it's the zone all the new BC characters enter Outland at. 1+1+1 = Barrens 2.0).
Then you get to Terokar Forest or Whateverthehellitsnameis Swamp and everything changes.
The environments become stunningly beautiful. The trademark Blizzard humor for quests and NPCs starts kicking in (There's an Engineering trainer in the swamp called Mack Diver). You start to feel rewarded for exploring all the out of the way places, whether with loot, new quests, or just breathtaking visuals.
It's definitely a breath of fresh air for anyone who's been playing for over a year.
BTW, there are some awesome things to do before leaving Hellfire. There's one series of quests that leads you you riding a war wyvern/war griffon and dropping bombs on hordes of level 70 elite demons and EFFING HUGE demonic war golems. 20 story huge. Devilsaur on steroids and growth hormone huge. And those same golems patrol through the whole zone, just like Devilsaurs, making the ground shake as they walk by with steam whistles and gears grinding audibly."
"If you're in Beastmaster (tier 0.5), you'll find upgrades from random green drops. Giantstalker (tier 1) will be upgraded through green and blue quest rewards in the first couple zones. I havn't found any direct upgrades to Dragonstalker (tier 2) or Cryptstalker (tier 3) yet, but I havn't gotten any instance loot, either. I don't expect Dragonstalker to last me past 65.
I wouldn't bother even trying to get tier 1 stuff. I've seen random drop greens that blow giantstalker out of the water. By the time you're level 70, even Cryptstalker would be mostly replaced, except perhaps for the crazy insane 6 piece bonus which is gonna get even crazier with our new crit rates."

Definitely wondering what Eulalia's stats are going to look like when I load her into the expansion. Interesting that the hunter wrote that 'you won't be getting 2000 AP anytime soon' elsewhere in that thread, because, fully buffed, Eulalia has ~1700 RAP (self buffed it's like ~1600) and her buffed crit rate is ~30% (~27% normally). Hmm mmm n_n

IIRC that hunter is pretty much in Tier 2 type gear. Isn't the AQ40 set quite a bit better than that? Been a while since I've complared them.

Aye, but the thing is that the set is heavy on Agility, and--unlike Dragonstalker--it has no built in resists. And they're changing the way Agility works, as you saw, that you receive less AP per AGI point, although they said they're editing the current sets to make up for the change. I guess I'm just wondering if they'll alter my set or what's gonna go down n_n;
