i started the WoW launcher monday, and after it updated itself i saw a new box near the "Play" button that said:
"Data for the next patch is available. Download will start after you exit World of Warcraft"
The "patch that it is downloading is called WoW-1.12.x-to-2.0.1-enUS-patch.
Did anyone else encounter this? Looks like a content patch to me, it is 600MB+
Didnt happen for mootsey though... wild, wacky shit.

It's the December patch. The patch, which lots of folks have been calling 1.13 is actually called 2.0.1.
If Moots is on a Mac then the Background Downloader is b0rken. He'll have to launch it himself. It will not launch automatically.

Data for the next patch has been available for a few days now. I turned off the downloader, because due to past experience, it causes WoW to crawl, and I also don't want it downloading when I'm *not* playing, because then it will slow down whatever else I'm doing! I prefer to spend my time at work on patch day downloading it, and then bringing it home with me. And there are always some nice Enlightened folks who usually post it somewhere on patch day too!
