I would love to play nice! I don't like making people uncomfortable, as a general rule (which is why I like to surround myself with people like me). The problem is that I can't understand the rules when they don't make any logical sense, and that makes me TEH EMOSAD. XD

It's the difference between writing YHWH and Yahweh. One is a reference to the name, the other is the name itself. The latter is blasphemous, the former is not.

I don't have any problems respecting people who dislike this because of religious reasons, either. I used to sneer, fashionably, at people who were deeply into their religious convictions, but I believe now that it's something to be respected even if I, personally, can't fathom the problem. Also I say 'goddamn' frequently so that is difficult to curb XD

Also, I think this is a good time to say that I'm a little uncomfortable with the Lifers being able to see our post-raid stuff and call Gleja a greedy whore.

I know that's sort of hypocritical because I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed if, say, AGNES called Gleja a greedy whore, but that's because we've been playing together a long time.

I suspect it's supposed to be a joke, but we don't know them well enough for that kind of joke yet. It's like Val calling me a whore versus someone I barely know calling me a whore. With Val it's hilarious, because I've known him a while. With someone I barely know, I'd castrate them with my very glance! RAWR.

I think what I'm trying to say here is that I'm feeling too much familiarity here too soon, and I'm wondering if there's something we can do to address that. I don't want to ruin things for the alliance, and I almost went OFF on that post until Aro paged me and told me who it was.
