As the new VS Warlock Wise Guy, I am here to ask that you send me all your gold and blue+ BoE items. Oh, wait, sorry, that was a brain lapse while I traveled between dimensions.

I am here to ask what YOU, as a Warlock, like about being a Warlock. What spec are you? What level are you? What do you want? (Val's mom is not a valid answer). I am here to try to help you. Post your thoughts, ideas, recipes for frosty drinks, or whatever else you would like.

Ms. Viraj started a similar thread a while back. However, she unfortunately ran out of ice cream and was destroyed by her demons. Because of that, I am outlawing all ice cream. If you have any, send it to her, because it will help her tame new demons. Her previous post is here:

As for me, I have spec'ed Demonology since the latest 2.01 patch. I have been Affliction and Destruction (my fav) in the past, but I wanted to give the Felguard a whirl. I'll post my spec when I find it again (my current spec numbers are 10/41/0). My goals are to kill things and have fun. Gear? When I joined VS I was all green, with maybe a couple of blues. I'm now all blue, but still no purples. Do I care? Not at all. I'm not here for the gear, I'm here for the fun. Hell, after the expansion hits, I'll probably be decked out in greens again, because some of that shit is amazing!

So, fellow Warlocks please post who you are, what you are, and what you want to experience from the game. And remember, it is a game, a pretendy fun time game. I love that quote, thank you Stranger!

I am 0/10/41 for SHADOWFURY GOODNESS. I am not mana-efficient in any way, but I can explode devilsaurs and that makes me happy. I totally want a felguard one day, but not today.

I am in bl00z with some perplez. This is due mostly to luck and me whining at people until they took me to kill Jandice or the Baron or whatever. I like ice cream. So does Rupnik. My goal is to get Rulrin to like ice cream.

I just started a gnome warlock. He has some scraps of gray cloth and is shivering near anvilmar. I dunno what I want to do with him yet. Mostly I wanted a gnome character, and I hadn't played a caster class yet. I can read all the guides I want, but what was YOUR experience as far as levelling? What worked for you and why?

My little gnome warlock just made 28, I think... She's spec'd demonology because I noticed that's how I play. I was destruction, but I hardly ever even threw off a shadowbolt unless I had to, so... respec. Basically, I'm a curse-throwing, affliction-loving, pet-controlling shard whore. It's incredibly fun! Every little point I have is going into demonology. None of this hybrid stuff that's gotten me into trouble before.

What do I want to experience from the game... well... huh... I mostly wanted to see what it was like and have something to do. Now, though, I'm liking it and am interested in GOING THE DISTANCE.

I have a 60 lock on Kilrogg. He is my favoritest ever.

I used voidwalker and affliction all of the way until the recent patch, then switched to demonolgy. Never had to use fear kiting, except on select elite solo encounters. Basically, I was able to land 4 dots quickly then wand. The VW would take some damage and I would shut his taunt off to save his mana just before I drew aggro with the damage. The critter would run to me and either die enroute or hit me just once or twice. Doing this, and using the VW gather shadows every few fights and life tap, I was always able to maintain over half health and mana with practically non-stop fighting. Using fear almost always caused me problems with adds, which I could normally handle but used up a lot of or all of my mana (and the VW health and mana too) which leads to too much down time for me.

With the changes, I can't see using anything other than demonolgy at level 50 due to the felguard, at least for soloing. He holds aggro and does a ton of damage, letting you DOT and/or burn as needed. Combined with cleave, you can more easily solo duo mobs when required.

Find your preference and enjoy it.

What do you guys think? Destro locks seem to be rare these days, and I've been playing mine like a mage for quite some time. I get everything I want out of destruction, and I get just far enough into affliction for instant corruption, and shadowfall. Shadowfall + backlash = lots of instant shadowbolts. Weeeee!

I'm almost full Destruction these days - 0/10/41 - which gives me enough stamina -> mana to be able to blast the smithereens out of pretty much any regular mobs in the game, and half a smithereen out of an elite. I do miss insta-shadowbolt (and insta-corruption), but on the other hand, since my favorite soloing pet these days is the imp, I'd rather have the points in improved imp and demonic embrace.

The only place I rather regret not being demonology so's I can have my felguard dealing the damage is in the Plaguelands. Damn stupid un-Fearable zombies.

Esqueedecorp is a leetle gnome, and she is level 23, and her imp Azyap likes to play with Rupnik.

She's all Demonology at present. And she's mostly wearing greens her sister Lemmin makes her. She has a couple blues that she got when some nice 60 ran her through Shadowfang Keep in the bank.

Rinnia is full affliction! Currently 41 and climbing. She doesn't recognize her demon's names. They don't deserve names. They are all beneath her. There only purpose is to do her bidding. The moment her demon "Plays" with another, it gets sent back to hell!

Oh and Rinnia likes long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and the suffering of others.
