I think you should give me some money... you obviously have way too much.

I think you meant 680i on the motherboard, but otherwise that's almost the computer I have - only difference is that I'm running OCZ memory. Very good motherboard and CPU.
Sticking with DX9 videocards, eh? What are the benchmarks with SLI 7900's vs. an 8800 GTX? I am in the market myself for a new desktop and was considering the Vista/DX10 leap of faith. Jami has an eight series card if I remember correctly.

I have a Flux Capacitor hooked up to an old floor model TV set for a monitor. I also use Speak & Spell in place Word. Yes I spell curse words on it.

Yep, I have an eVGA 8800 GTS; It's very sweet. In XP, I was typically getting about 75-80 FPS in Warcraft. I'm going to try Vista soon, so I'll let you know how that goes!

I am keeping the 7900s for right now in SLI. I am sure the 8800s blow away the 7900s by a lot. The only thing you have to decide is to have 320MBs on them or 640MBs :-). Also if I want to get two or now. I probably will buy the 8800s in a month or two. I didn't realize there was a 680i version of the motherboard. I can't find a difference between the 680i and the 650i.
newegg offers Vista for $189 the Ultimate version if I buy it with my stuff. I might get it.

I was starting to think about getting read up on all this in order to replace "the beast" (which was totally awesome about 4 years ago). Then the transmission on my dodge blew. So "the beast" is gonna have to scrap by on its Athalon 64 2200+ and .... whatever video card is in there now (i've fried three of them) and.... what used to be a cool raptor disk array, but since one of them crapped out its not really an array anymore... *sigh*
That reminds me. Any of you guys who use raptor arrays ever have problems with them dying on you? I had some problems with the old 10,000rpm 74.5 GB ones. Warranty replaced them, but I killed three like that. The disc itself shattered while running in all three cases.

No. I still have the three original ones. They are the three 32GB ones in a raid 0. I had the motherboard die but nothing with the hard drives.
I am going to order this tonight unless I find something better that I like.

Funny story. I ordered the 680i instead of the 650i. I order it and stupid bank of america denies it so I call them and they blocked it because it was so high. So they pushed that through and then had to call newegg and have them redo it. So much fun. Everything better work!!

I try to boot and I can't even Post. I get BIOS ROM checksum error. This sucks. I talked to Asus and they said I need a new bios but that department is closed. I just had Newegg refund my money and I ordered a new one online. Why does this always happen to me?
