Do we want to start a VS Mote Bank?

I get these things everywhere and there are so many kinds. I'm even sick of SELLING all these motes. Granted, they are a good source of moneez for my epic mount, but with so many crafters and so many recipes requiring various motes, I was thinking this might be a good idea.

Not that everyone needs to send all their motes all the time, but if everyone were to throw in a helping now and then of the different kinds, we could have a solid base in case someone needs are rare one or a lot of them and doesnt feel like farming.

What y'all think?

I would say I'd start one but I am always in need of motes and I'd probably end up stealing them. Wrong person for the job!

I never use my alts and I have slots available. I'd be totally willing to maintain this. And since I don't use them very much(engineer) and actually farm quite a few (through mining) I wouldn't be tempted to steal them!

The Alchemy vault is going to hold motes for now so feel free to send them to me or VSAlchemy, please. :)

If it gets out of hand, we will start a new one just for motes.

Sounds like a great idea! One thing I'll say up front is that Primal Earth is used as a component in Ironshield potions, a very important tank potion when tanking REALLY nasty stuff like Karazhan. The past Kara runs I bought my own Primal Earth off AH but if we could get some together like this, all the better!!

I've been farming leather and primals for riding crops for anyone who wants one. Lunaria's making them. I'll start sending them here.

Oh, and I've got lots of primal earth - on it's way.

One question on that - we haven't gotten to it yet, but Arcane Resist potions if they exist will be HUGE in the near future. Is there such a thing?

There's Major Arcane Protection Potion, but no arcane resistance potions. There look to be craftable arcane resistance items though, using some of the drops from Karazhan.

For cloth-wearers there's the Soulcloth Embrace set. 1 piece of which we can make now (the gloves). 2 pieces of which require pattern drops from Kara that we have not seen yet. Making Soulcloth requires mats from Kara; however, the mats can also be bought cheaply on the AH. It costs about 15-20g to make one bolt of Soulcloth if you buy the mats.

There are some other cloth craftables that boost arcane resistance as well. Arcanoweave, for example. This stuff does not require drops from Kara.

Opinions vary on the importance of arcane resist in Kara. At least one boss is much easier if a couple raid members have high arcane resistance. But some people have killed him using no arcane resistance.

The Eye (the 25-man raid in Tempest Keep) seems to require more arcane resistance. But that's not really relevant to anyone but a few guilds.

I have the soulcloth gloves, the arcanoweave set, and the cloak of arcane evasion, all of which together end up with mad freaking crazy arcane resistance (something around 200? I'll do the math later. ETA: math done, I'm sitting at 177 with what I can make right this second). Technically, this means that when we get to the Curator, we can have one person kitted out in arcane resist just soak up all the bolts individually, but we'd have to get there first. I'm not sure if it's really that feasible.

I got totems too... +70 resist.

There are Flasks of Arcane Fortification ( http://www.thottbot.com/i22861 ), however the mats aren't cheap: 1x Fel Lotus, 10x Mana Thistle, 20x Netherbloom, 1x Imbued Vial. And also is only learned through discovery.

And also only an elixir mastery alchemist can get the recipie.

I'm curious as to where you got that bit of info.... I was under the impression flasks recipes could be discovered and used by any of the alchemical specialities.

Really? Sorry, I just thought that the discoveries you make depend on your choice of mastery. Editing now.

I have only had one discovery and it was a flask and it was before I had specialized.

And ya, the flasks are awesome but the mats will take some work! I can make Flask of Relentless Assault - Increases Attack Power by 360 for 2 hours Materials - 1 Fel Lotus, 10 Mana Thistle, 20 Terocone

I think I have around 5 0r 6 Fel Lotus in my bank I'll forward to the Alch vault. I hit 375 over the weekend and discovered 2 potions in the last couple weeks. I'll try to update my Alch list when I get a chance.
