Windows had a meltdown on me and may have taken my HD along with it, not sure what happened yet.
I will be fixing it tonight and I am thinking of just going back to linux, not sure what distro yet.
I know a couple of you use or have used linux for WoW before, are you using cedega or wine or vmware or what?
Wine is free which is definatly a benefit, but from when I used it before it was a bitch to get working for games.

I know folks that have done both Wine & Cedega on Ubuntu. I considered it myself before work offered to buy me a new laptom.
There's a lot of Wine documentation specifically for WoW, but other games may be more of a probelm. Cedega may be easier, but there's the downside that it only supports specific games.

True. It also seems that I would have to run wine anyway for vent. I could have sworn I saw a linux port for that but I can't seem to find it now.

beryl is the coolest thing. ever.
Anyway, I've still got some issues to work out mostly involving audio. The game seems to be running a lot better under linux, akchuly.
Using Ubuntu, the nVidia support isn't great but with Wine and OpenGL it seems just fine.
The biggest problem is ventrilo. For one you can't use push to talk if the window doesn't have the focus. There is a hack for that but I haven't screwed with it yet because the audio is still all fubar with my headset.
Sound seems to be working just fine with my sblive, I will try a couple more driver options for my headset but if it doesn't work then I will just dig out a mic to plug into the card.

Got it all figured out, with the exception to the push to talk dealy (and maybe vent lag? haven't talked with anyone since I got it 'working')
There is a hack to make push to talk work but I don't really feel comfortable doing that. It involves remapping keys and all kinds of other crap, don't really want to do that. SO, if it all works like it is supposed to then everything works great but I might be a little silent on vent. I know you all wanted that to begin with... I can still talk if I wanted to. You can never escape me.

I was going to upload a sweet-ass screenshot of my setup, but I really don't feel like dumbing it down for the stupid size/resolution limitations for the board.
