I know I talked to a couple of you about this, but I got to escort Gary Sinese around my base this week. Pretty cool guy- pours a lot of his own money into funding himself and his band (yes, he has a band) to travel around the world and play free concerts for US Soliders. We gave him a urban combat deomonstration, which was a lot of fun: we used simunitions in a raid scenario (like paintball rounds for our real weapons) and he got to blow the door to the target house with a C4 charge. And his concert that night was pretty good too.

Of course, as always, I was too caught up in the moment to remember to get a photo of him with me in it, but oh well :)

Very cool. I've always liked him in movies and CSI. It's nice to see someone from Hollywood who doesn't have his head up his ass, go out and supports our troops.

That's pretty cool Bren! I agree with Rin, it's great that some of Hollywood is willing to get out there ans supposrt you guys - espcially on his own dime.

Wow that is really nice to see! I don't like that character on the show, but this gesture might make me start to!

That sounds like such a great experience Brendar. It's really nice to hear that celebrities that you really respect turn out to be really great people in person too!
